[Can Cry] Memoria
What you don't know that you don't know...
1. First Memorial: Art Of Medicine. Contains all of Mercy's medical training and knowledge of the human body- how to fix it, how to break it, how to put it back together again. Regaining this fragment renders her once again a fully qualified medical doctor, instead of just working off of the vague instinctual knowledge she had before.
2. Second Memorial: Charity Begins At Home. Contains the memory of her older sister Charity gently explaining to her that while managing to surgically swap her eyes with the eyes of their family cat was very impressive, she's upset the poor kitty and needs to put them back now. Regaining this memory returns Mercy's knowledge that she had a beloved older sister, but all memories of her cut off abruptly at a young age, coupled with a feeling of unease.
3. Third Memorial: A Stitch In Time. Contains the memory of brutally killing a giant monstrous animal called a Cast-Off by using her partnered Key, a giant pair of surgical scissors named Stitches. Regaining this fragment returns both the memory of their friendship together and the training she received in properly using such an unusual weapon.
4. Fourth Memorial: Rumor Has It. Contains the memory of her first day at Estrella Academy, sitting by herself in an empty classroom reading a textbook during lunch and overhearing two students standing out in the hallway discussing the rumor that she was responsible for the deaths of her own family.
5. Fifth Memorial: Epic Rap Battles Of Estrella Academy. Contains the memory of having a rap battle against a belligerent upperclassman in the Estrella science hall's second floor student restrooms, and winning. Regaining this fragment returns Mercy's surprising ability to wreck shit in a rap battle.
6. Sixth Memorial: A Friend Indeed. Contains the memory of Erina Estival pounding on the door of her dorm room at two in the morning, asking to use her bunsen burner in order to boil a brightly-colored sports drink. Said drink is usually consumed chilled. Regaining this fragment returns Mercy's memory of her friendship with Erina, as well as knowledge of a shockingly large amount of dank memes acquired from said friendship.
7. Seventh Memorial: Oh My God, They Were Roommates. Contains the memory of Ganbaatar Sarangeral sitting in the bleachers of the Seven Sisters tournament, holding up a sign helpfully reminding Mercy that live dissection of opponents is frowned upon. Her opponent for this round looks deeply disturbed. Regaining this fragment returns Mercy's memory of her friendship with Sara.
8. Eighth Memorial: Memento Moritz. Contains the memory of her death. (Note: while she survived in the Synblade "canon", this version is a slight AU who didn't. This is solely due to the nature of Can Cry as a game, and her timeline is otherwise completely identical to Synblade canon up to this point.) In the memory, she's working in her lab as usual when an Estrella Academy security team breaks down the door, informs her that she's been accused of crimes against humanity, and needs to be "apprehended for the safety of innocent people". Said apprehension seems to have been deliberately fatal.
9. Ninth Memorial: Know Thyself. Contains the memory of an early childhood school day, sitting in class hearing the teacher explain the difference between Synchronics and ordinary humans. Regaining this memory returns Mercy's knowledge that she herself was a Synchronic with healing abilities.
10. Tenth Memorial: Velveteen. Contains the memory of catching a well-loved plushie shaped like a black cat before it can topple off her desk and hit the floor. Regaining this memory returns her ability to sew and create fibercrafts projects for recreational and artistic purposes, not just stitching wounds.
11. Eleventh Memorial: A House Divided. Contains the memory of sitting on the couch in someone else's dorm common room, eating a bowl of cereal and watching Erina have a screaming match with a younger-looking red-headed girl. An amused-looking upperclasswoman is trying to mediate the argument while a third girl wearing a student council badge is chiding them for making too much noise. An older boy is sitting next to Mercy on the couch, looking resigned. Regaining this memory returns her knowledge of her friendships with Jessica Gin, Jasvinder Kapali, Hilda Roth, and Zuri Tamirat, as well as the many, many times she and the rest of the terrible disaster kohai flock invaded Jess and Jas' dorm for their daily nonsense.
12. Twelfth Memorial: Those Who Can't Do, Teach. Contains the memory of helping Jess to secretly break into a restricted area of Estrella Academy and finding files containing some deeply disturbing implications of student "disappearances". Regaining this memory returns her knowledge of the conspiracy behind Estrella Academy and the secret of their Keys.
13. Thirteenth Memorial: Sister's Keeper. Contains the memory of confronting Charity Moritz after encountering her in the wastelands on a Cast-Off hunting mission with her fellow students. During the memory, Charity confirms she killed the rest of their family due to fears that they would exploit Mercy's powers the same way they abusively exploited hers, and eventually surrenders to the students, willingly turning herself in to the law for her crimes.
14. Fourteenth Memorial: Have Mercy. Contains the memory of her name, Mercy Moritz.
